When should we start paying attention??

I am not even sure if I can find the meme on Facebook now. It was a picture of Jared (sloppy seconds) Kushner and Ivana Trump collecting the $2,000,000,000 from Saudi Arabia or whatever it was. The meme goes on about how congress is still ignoring that and proceeding with impeachment of Biden and Hunter’s Laptop or whatever…can we get a budget this year? Walter Cronkite would probably be able to say “That’s the way it is Saturday January 13th 2024” with his trademark tone, but who watches CBS?

I am not sure when the right time to get the voting public to pay attention to this, but don't hold your breath telling your crazy uncle faux who will babble off about Hunter's Laptop. The same goes for anywhere from %35-%45 of the potential voting public who are in the faux echo chamber. Perhaps an accurate account of who watched faux and fright wing media is in order, but corporate America is loath to make polls public. I do understand why, but not because of the inaccuracy of polling numbers as they would claim, that is bullshit. Yes, polling is inaccurate or at least political polls, but the numbers corporate America has deals with who advertises on faux and is tied to profits. It also helps lamestream media to peddle the numbers about Biden being vulnerable to get the rest of us to tune into their latte specials.

            Take note, this is part of how we got to 2016. I know too many of us have lives. I don’t like this myself, and I have a life outside of politics, or want to. This goes back to my original question, when do we need to pay attention? Now that the election if officially starting on Monday and trump’s trials are beginning to yield the real possibility of trump going to prison and taking some real money away from him that I doubt he has, it might be fun to start paying attention. Perhaps you can tune in or GASP!!! Read a story about it and dare to talk about it with your friends and colleagues or even FAMILY!!! You might want to leave out michelle maga-hat and Uncle faux, but you would be surprised at who responds and why. From there we can make our space more comfortable to talk about what is really important to us…even if it is not Taylor Swift or whoever that hunk is (how should I know, I am not gay).

            Buckle up, this is going to be a crazy year, I believe that Biden and the Democrats do have a plan, but it means nothing if we don’t turnout. Now enjoy the game or whatever your life is. Thank you for coming to my corner of the internet.
