As a proud Berkeley Boy and Ten Year Navy and all it has ever meant to me, ESPECIALLY IN THE 60'S. I now Proudly return that salute or is it a goodwill gesture from some who remember the past and the animosity. Those days are over, and we are now at peace. We can now go to Memorial Stadium and watch the Bears loose (sorry, but let's take solace if we get more spun up on that than we once did over Vietnam. Perhaps we should take a hike up tight wad hill and well...smoke if you got em, but it is probably more of a problem if someone lit up here. Just like the Rockey Horror Picture show’s rule about no smoking of tobacco. Enough of that, today I am at peace, although I can’t fit into my Navy uniform anymore to flash the peace sign in it. These are only a part of my feelings about this kind gesture, all I can say now is to say LIVE LONG AND PROSPER with the proper Vulcan salute (I can do that, even now).
