Ok, this YouTube video might be the best place to start. He mentioned Mark Kelly and talked about a few realities that although important I feel differently. He talks about how we need I straight white guy. I don’t like it but there is some truth to it. If that were not the case, I would choose Stacy Abrams (and not because she played a black leader of Earth who brought us back into the Federation on Star Trek discovery). Perhaps my model for making this decision is not good, but I believe in a balance, so someone like Gavin Newsome (governor of California) is out. I also thought of Mark Kelly, but he is needed both in Arizona and in the Senate. Then there are those who are already in the administration like Pete Buttigieg and Elizibeth Warren (I think she is still a Massachusetts Senator. This led me to center on Beto O’Rourke but then I racked my brain and eventually googled the Alabama Senator Democrat who was beaten by Tommy (F-Auburn) Tuberville, that would be Doug Jones. I still think that Jones and Beto are good choices, but I feel that the team is on my wavelength in thinking about Governors from outside of the West, and the news produced Bashir (Governor of Kentucky) and Josh Shapiro (governor of Pennsylvania). These are my thoughts, but I have seen the republicans get away with VP picks that are ALMOST as crazy as this j d vance guy, (Dick Cheney comes to mind, and I did think about Liz). I also think it might be a good idea to put it up for the convention to choose. I am sure the republicans want to either keep Biden or have a free for all weaken us, but both Biden and Kamala have done an impressive job of keeping that from happening. For the campaign coffers ($) open again, this is great. Today has been a great day. I am still mad at the press (particularly the New York Times) for how this all got dragged in the mud for multiple news cycles, but we have consolidated. I knew we could….well at least part of me did. The part who is on Facebook where I see more shots at the press than whatever lamestream media says. Perhaps I am insulated in Facebook and MSNBC, but this is my world. I can get what the republican and both lamestream and fright-wing media when I check my feeds of backbiting MSNBC and whatever faux, Newsweek and CNN say among a whole slew of what Mad Magazine calls “the usual band of idiots”.

There is a long road ahead of us, and there will be bad days. Today was a good one, although the Giants lost (to the Dodgers, that used to matter a whole lot more to me). I guess the liberal redneck would say.

Y’all take it easy.
